From Les,
My friends, fellow Floridians, patriots of the Sunshine State—
We gather here today in the greatest state in the nation. Not because of luck. Not because of geography alone. But because Florida has chosen—again and again—to stand on the side of freedom, opportunity, and personal responsibility.
Florida is not just where people live. Florida is where people come to live free.
Families move here to build better lives. Entrepreneurs come here to chase their dreams. Veterans retire here knowing their service is honored. Parents raise their children here because they believe this state still understands right from wrong, hard work from handouts, and freedom from government overreach.
Florida is the land of opportunity because Florida respects the individual.
Opportunity does not come from bureaucrats in Tallahassee or Washington telling us how to live. Opportunity comes from freedom—freedom to work, to worship, to protect our families, to speak our minds, and to raise our children according to our values.
And those values matter now more than ever.
Across this country, we see states turning their backs on common sense. They weaken public safety while criminalizing law-abiding citizens. They celebrate abortion as a convenience instead of recognizing it as a profound moral issue. They replace opportunity with dependency and freedom with control.
Florida has chosen a different path.
Florida chooses life.
I am proudly pro-life because I believe every life has value—not because it is perfect, not because it is planned, not because it is easy, but because it is human.
Being pro-life is not about politics. It’s about principle.
It’s about standing up for the most vulnerable among us—the unborn—who have no voice and no vote. It’s about believing that society is measured not by how it treats the powerful, but by how it protects those who cannot protect themselves.
At the same time, being pro-life means supporting mothers, families, and communities. It means expanding adoption, strengthening family services, and building a culture that values responsibility, compassion, and accountability.
Florida understands this balance. We can defend life while still defending liberty. We can protect children while respecting families. We can be firm in our beliefs without being hateful or cruel.
That is the Florida way.
And that same belief in personal responsibility and freedom extends to another fundamental right—the right to keep and bear arms.
I am unapologetically pro open carry.
The right to self-defense is not a privilege granted by the government. It is a God-given, Constitution-protected right.
Law-abiding citizens are not the problem. Criminals do not follow gun laws. They do not ask permission. They do not care about restrictions.
Disarming good people does not make bad people behave—it only makes innocent families more vulnerable.
Open carry is about transparency, deterrence, and freedom. It says that Floridians trust one another. It says that the government trusts its citizens. It says that self-defense does not stop at a city line or depend on political fashion.
Florida should never be a place where a mother is afraid to walk to her car at night, or a business owner is defenseless, or a veteran is told their rights end when they put on civilian clothes.
Freedom means the ability to protect yourself and those you love.
Now let me be clear—freedom does not mean chaos. It means accountability. It means respecting the law while defending liberty. It means empowering responsible citizens instead of empowering criminals.
And when it comes to opportunity, Florida leads the nation.
We have low taxes because people know how to spend their own money better than the government ever will. We support small businesses because they create jobs, not politicians. We believe hard work should be rewarded, not punished.
Florida welcomes innovation, rewards risk-takers, and celebrates success.
That is why people are moving here in record numbers—not for handouts, but for hope.
Hope that if you work hard, play by the rules, and take responsibility for your life, you can succeed.
Hope that your children will grow up in a state that teaches values instead of ideology.
Hope that your faith will be respected, not ridiculed.
Hope that freedom still means something.
But make no mistake—freedom is never permanent. It must be defended every generation.
The same forces that failed elsewhere want to turn Florida into just another overregulated, overtaxed, overcontrolled state. They want to tell parents how to raise their children, tell citizens how to defend themselves, and tell communities what values they are allowed to hold.
We will not let that happen.
Florida will remain the land of opportunity.
Florida will remain the land of freedom.
Florida will remain a state that protects life, respects liberty, and trusts its people.
This campaign is about more than an election—it’s about a choice.
A choice between freedom and control.
A choice between responsibility and dependency.
A choice between standing firm in our values or surrendering them.
I am running to protect what makes Florida exceptional—and to ensure that future generations inherit a state that is freer, stronger, and more prosperous than the one we received.
Together, we will stand for life.
We will stand for freedom.
We will stand for the Constitution.
And we will stand for Florida.
God bless you, God bless our great state, and God bless the United States of America.
